Our Instructors
Brian Power CFI
Brian Power started at Waterford Aero Club in 2004. Brian has flown numerous single engine aircraft and has many ratings including a CFI, MEIR, SEL and a TMG (Touring Motor Glider) rating. Brian has also flown many different turbine aircraft and has over 4000 flying hours. Brian was recently appointed Chief Flying Instructor by Waterford Aero Club and flies both Tecnams and the Warrior on a daily basis. By far, Brian's favourite aircraft to fly is the Cessna 421.
George Roche FI

Chris is Waterford Aero Club's longest serving flight instructor. Chris received his flight instructor's rating in the UK in 1977. Having gained the rating, he instructed full time at Bourne R.F.C. Chris also holds a Sea Plane and a TMG Rating. Chris, as one of the original members, founded Waterford Aero Club in February 1982 and became Chief Flying Instructor in 1982 and held the title for over 26 years. Chris has over 7600 Hours and has flown many types of single engine aircraft including the Chipmunk, Piston Provost and, his most favourite, the Cessna 210 Centurion.
Paul Hutchinson started at Waterford Aero Club in 2005. Paul holds a CPL, MEIR, a Class 1 instructor rating. Of his 4000 total time, he has 2000 hours of instruction time. Paul also holds type ratings on the Pilatus PC12 and the Cessna 441.
Andrew Power FI
Andrew joined Waterford Aero Club in 2002 at just 12 years old, cutting the grass and cleaning airplanes was his primary role until he gained his Private Pilots Licence in 2007. In February 2011, Andrew gained his Flight Instructor Rating and has been Instructing all year round. He currently holds a JAA CPL, with Single and Multi Engine, Instrument & Touring Motor Glider Ratings. With almost 700 hours total time his favourite airplane to fly is the Cessna 182.
